Problems in Kahnawake

Ever since Golden Palace Casino pled guilty to charges of illegal gambling last week the other 442 licenced casino, bingo and poker operators are all on edge.
The Canadian Government is challenging the Mohawk Indians First Nation set up which has issued 443 licences to online poker, casino and bingo companies on their servers.
Under the Canadian Criminal Code, it is stated that the only entity allowed to issue such licenses is the Canadian Provincial Government. The Mohawks who operate the Kahanawake licenses claim that they have a right to give licenses to companies because they are protected by the Canadian Constitution which gives them a right to provide hosting for the 443 licensed and regulated operators under their jurisdiction.
