Revenues are Up for Online Gaming Software Provider Playtech

The Global software designer and licensor for the mobile and online gaming industries, Playtech , announced its revenues for 2008 on Friday.
According to the audited figures for the whole of 2008, Playtech’s revenues have increased 70% overall. Casino revenues showed a climb of 68% while, Poker’s grew by 73%.
Total revenues for Isle of Man based business were €111.5 million, with net profits up to €40.7million, up 55% on 2007.
Playtech also announced early figures for the first 11 weeks of 2009. They found that revenues had continued to grow and were up an average 2.3% per day compared to the last quarter of 2008.
Playtech Non-executive chairman, Roger Withers said, “Playtech continues to perform extremely well, delivering healthy growth for shareholders and meeting management's demanding expectations.”
As well as an increase in revenues Playtech reported that its new deal with William Hill has contributed to the rise in revenue for the first 8 weeks of 2009.
Mr Withers also stated. “Our landmark agreement with William Hill Online is on course to offer significant benefits to the company's earnings in 2009 and further strengthens Playtech's position. Management's strategy to focus on growing its presence in regulated markets has enabled the group to enter Italy, signing-up four leading Italian licensees in the process, and we expect to announce further developments in this regard.”
