Sega Launch Online Gambling Sites

In the not so distant past (otherwise known as the 90’s!) Sega was fighting tooth and nail to become the king of games consoles against their rivals Nintendo. When Sega brought out the underappreciated Saturn and Dreamcast consoles they were forced to introduce a new management policy making them a third party publisher, shifting focus away from consoles.
It was first heard through the gambling grapevine that Sega could be entering the world of online gambling back in September. However it has now been confirmed that Sega Casino and Sega Poker has been born!
“Users will now able to win real money playing SEGA branded casino and poker games. Sega Casino will feature a comprehensive suite of gaming products; including Blackjack, Roulette as well as customized SEGA branded Slots and many more. Sega Poker will feature a live multiplayer poker room with head-to-head play with up to 30,000 concurrent players.”
Sega is planning on expanding its online gambling sites and is looking to introduce more during 2010. The company has roots in slot machines and evolved as a result of their success so the move into gambling actually isn’t so surprising.
