Should Poland Adopt Online Casinos

Zbigniew Macioszek a board member of Casinos Poland expressed his support for the licensing and regulations of online casinos from the eastern European nation. Launched in 1988 Casinos Poland, claims to have 55.28% of the domestic market, and operates seven casinos throughout the nation.

Very different emotions are felt by regulators and industry insiders when the issue of online gambling arises. Some would say that a new framework of is required, according to Macioszek the current framework, adopted a lot of its regulations from other countries and is almost 20 years old.

Macioszek said “the only state that made online gambling sites legal was Malta but the regulations are so heavy that were any other country to legalise the industry, it would attract investors immediately.” He also stated that a great deal of synergy would be created with traditional casinos through the legalisation and development of online gambling, as the popularity of virtual gambling grows rapidly in Poland.

Macioszek believes that the need for gambling is universal, and is just as important as the need for other forms of entertainment, and in that respect Poland is no different from any other country.
