Sky Bet open odds on John Terry moving to Man City
6th July, 2009
With the football premiership transfer window in full swing, speculation has been rife this weekend following Manchester City’s proposal for England Captain John Terry.
Manchester City have recently been trying to buy high profile players like Terry, but have not managed to secure big names like Kaka, and Being the up-to-date bookie that they are, SkyBet have announced odds on the Centre Back, pricing Terry at 2/1 to leave Stanford Bridge and move to City.
According to the Bookmaker, betting on John Terry has mainly been on the side of him staying at Stanford Bridge.
Helen Jacob from Sky Bet was quoted saying, “After taking a few chunky bets today at 1/3 for Terry to remain at Stamford Bridge, we cut his odds of staying with Chelsea to 1/4. However, some customers that we deem to be shrewd quickly took the revised odds of 5/2 for him to go to City, which suggests that this may not be the end of the matter and we have now eased Terry’s odds of staying with Chelsea to 4/11 and trimmed a move to cash-rich City to 2/1”
As well as a move to Man City, Sky Bet have also opened odds on other destinations for the Chelsea defender, including Inter Milan at 33/1 and Tottenham at 50/1.
