Southend's Rendezvous Casino holds Poker festival

The Southend casino Rendezvous has confirmed dates for a ‘Face to Face’ Poker Festival which is taking place from the 22-26th July 2009. The event is open to the public and anyone is welcome to turn up and take part in no-limit Texas hold’em.
The same event took place earlier this year in April in the casinos newly refurbished cardroom and judging on previous figures they estimate that 150 people will take part. The main event this time round has a buy-in of £500 carrying an increased estimated prize pool of £30,000!
The success of the event has encouraged Rendezvous manager to look into introducing facilities that will let online player attend and experience live poker from the comfort of their own home. The marketing manager Nikki Proctor explained, “It is the companies ultimate aim to promote and grow live poker in Essex”, and judging on the success of the festivals so far it seems they are doing the right thing!
Players interested are able to register at The Rendezvous casino in London, Brighton and Southend, The Sportsman and Golden Nugget in London and Alea in Notingham, Glasgow and Leeds.
Even if its not feeling like your lucky day you can attend and watch the game play without registering and show your support for the players.
