Boylesports are a well established sports bookie in the UK and Ireland and provide an excellent service for thousands of customers everyday. The company was first established in 1989 by John Boyle and have several retail stores across Ireland. In recent years Boylesports have seen rapid growth after setting up a internet website.
With the increase of internet technology sports bookie's have increased in numbers over the past few years. Boylesports offers betting markets in all major sporting events including, horse racing, football, rugby, tennis and golf.
However as the UK and Irish markets become increasingly crowded with competitors, many of the larger firms are looking for new markets to offer their services. Spain has been targeted by many online gambling companies as the market is still relatively unpopulated.
Boylesports have employed a team of 20 employees to work setting up European betting sites. Heading the operation will be John Overett who was successful at Bwin in Austria.
'We're looking at adding another four (website) next year,' said Daniel O'Mahoney Chief Executive Officer, for Boylesports. The CEO went on to say, 'We tend to invest for three to five years ahead and, if we switch the taps off, it can be hard to switch them on again.' 'Soccer is very important in the European market and we can see plenty of opportunities for growing this market here as well,' said O'Mahoney.
Boylesports also sponsor Irish owned football team Sunderland and have recently signed a deal with Aston Villa FC to become their official betting partners. With the companies annual turnover increasing 16 per cent to £1.11 billion, Boylesports look to continue their impressive growth by entering another foreign market.
