Spreadex sets a second record for highest volume of bets

SpreadEx are an online financial and sports spreadbetting operator who have managed to set a second milestone in as many months after setting the highest volume of monthly sports bets in their ten year history.
The St Albans based firm hit its highest betting figures throughout both its sports and financial spreadbetting sites in October, with its sports betting volume increase by 1.5% on the previous record set in June 2008 during the time of the Euro Soccer record.
SpreadEx stated that the overall volume of bets including financial spreadbetting via the ShortAndLongs.com platform were just short of Octobers record.
Andy MacKenzie the spokesperson for SpreadEx commented saying that ‘In-play betting on live Premier League football is the number-one attraction for spreadbettors so, considering we had an international break during November, we’re amazed we’ve set a new high in terms of sports bet numbers during this period’
SpreadEx stated that the record trading volumes were a mix of new accounts and existing customers in its sports division while its financial devision had experienced an increase in new business.
