Tabcorp Casino in Australia cashes cheque while gambler flees

A cheque takes around 4 days at most to cash, usually 3 working days at most banks. Howeer a casino in Australia was stung, after cashing a cheque for $11.5Million.
A gambler from Hong Kong walked into the Tabcorp casino in Australia, cashed his cheque, then his chips and walked back out. Then when the cheque reportedly bounce the Gambler was no-where to be found and believed to have fled the country.
The gambler in question is known in the industry as being a ‘whale’, and estimated to by one of 30 players world-wide able to drop $100,000-$300,000 on a single hand of Baccarat.
CEO of Tabcorp, Mr Elmer Funke Kupper, revealed the loss just yesterday during the company’s half yearly announcement.
When asked about the bad debt, Mr Funke Kupper simply replied that, “Every now and then this happens.”
According to a former casino executive ‘whales’ or ‘high rollers’ are allowed to cash in cheques up to $10 million, once they have passed identity and financial checks. It is also at the casinos digression to up this amount.
