American Golf superstar, Tiger Woods, has admitted that he is taken aback by his winning performances since having reconstructive surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

The fourteen times major winner and current world number one, was sidelined between June 2008 and February 2009, due to the injury. However, since his return the 33 year old has captured four tournament victories on the PGA Tour.

Woods’ most recent victory came on August 2nd at the Buick Open where he had a three shot victory over the chasing pack. The next tournament in Tiger’s sights is this week’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone CC, where he will be looking for his seventh career victory at that competition.

Tiger did concede that he was worried at the start of his comeback trail and knew that lots of fitness work and practice needed to be put in. Woods told Sky Sports that "It was hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, especially when I was just starting back.

When asked about his return to winning ways Woods said, "Well this year I think just to be able to come back and play and be successful has been a tremendous step in the right direction,"

"If you would have asked me at the beginning of the year before I even played whether I'd have four wins by now, I couldn't see it because walking 18 holes was going to be a task.

"To win, and not only win but be as consistent as I've been the entire year coming back, that's probably one of the things I'm most proud of."

To win the next Grand Slam which is the PGA championship which starts on August 13th Tiger Woods is 9/4 with Bet 365 while Bet Fred is offering 5/2.
