Tony McAlister has been appointed at Betfair

The huge online Gambling firm that is Betfair, have now appointed a replacement for Rorie Devine as the new Chief Technology Officer, Mr tony McAlister.
Mr Devine left the company back in May. He who helped turn a growing start-up IT department into a global leader powering the world’s biggest online betting community.
CEO for Betfair David Yu said “we are delighted to welcome such an experienced and capable Chief Technology Officer”.
According to Betfair Mr McAlister will be responsible for enhancing customer experience, driving innovation and underpinning profitable growth, while in charge of a 300 strong global engineering team.
Betfair guaranteed that McAlister is a respected industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in running global IT operations for leading corporation. With Mr Yu stating “I have no doubt that he is the right person to lead our technology strategy, innovation and delivery.”
Mr McAlister replied by saying “Betfair has demonstrated its ability to turn technology into a strategic business advantage.” And “I look forward to building on this success in my new role workin with a talented global team.”
