Top Pros knocked out of the WSOP
13th July, 2009
The main event for the World Series Of Poker was shaping up to be nothing less than legendary, considering the pro’s that were making their way there throughout the week, heading to the final table.
However, many fans faced disappointment as their favourite pros were swiftly eliminated from the competition, with the tournament reaching its target in only three short levels.
The explanation for this could be down to the exhibition of incredibly aggressive play, whilst having to cope with the rising blinds and diminishing chip stacks. By the end of play Sunday, the leading player was Warren Zackey, who had just near the 5 million chip mark.
Big names who made it through on Sunday include Joe Hachem, Tom Schneider, Bertrand Grospellier, James Ackenhead, and Ludovic Lacay.
The games will continue over the upcoming few days, until a final table is determined.
