Tour de France: Alberto Contador certain to win.
23rd July, 2009

As previously written about, Alberto Contador now looks a certain to win and bookies are so confident that they have neglected betting for the winner and are now taking on bets for who will come second.
Alberto Contador odds are 1/50 with Ladbrokes making it an almost worthless bet to place your stakes with. This will be his second Tour de France win, having won first time in 2007. Bookies are now doing outright bets excluding Contador because of the lack of competition. Without Contador, Andy Schleck is still second favourite with odds of 4/7 followed by Lance Armstrong backed at 2/1 with Ladbrokes. Less likely winners that follow are Andreas Kloden at 12/1 and Bradley Wiggins at 16/1 with Blue Square.
Blue Square are also giving you the opportunity to bet on the top three riders to win, with Alberto as short as 1/200 followed by Schleck at a reasonable 4/7 and Armstrong at 8/11.
