An extremely lucky woman from Peterborough, Sophie M, hit her second jackpot for a sizable amount less than a month after hitting the first, while playing on William Hill’s exclusive Vegas site.
Her latest win was when she hit the jackpot on the Gold Rush Showdown slot machine, in the bonus round of course, and she ended up being awarded £84,978. This number is great, but she had actually won a jackpot for £102,000 less than a month before hitting this one, which is what makes the feat so unbelievable.
“As soon as I won the jackpot, I ran upstairs and woke my husband up to tell him; I think I gave him quite a shock,” Sophie said. We sat for the next half hour not quite believing what had just happened and in the morning we both had to ask each other if it was a dream that we were lucky enough to have won a second jackpot. We plan to pay off our mortgage and save the rest for our children’s future; my children are the most important thing in the world to me.”
Sophie won her first jackpot on the Pharaohs Treasure slot at the beginning of august, taking home £102,718 on a spin that cost just £4.50. That’s a pretty good return on investment I’d say.
“We’ve never had a dual jackpot winner on our Vegas site so Sophie is a first for us and we are delighted for her,” said Jennie Prest, spokeswoman for William Hill. “All jackpots are reset after they are won and begin to grow again.”
