West Ham to sign new Sponsorship Deal?

Asian online gaming company SBOBet.com are looking to striking a deal with London based Football club West Ham United. Several Premiership football teams have deals with online gaming companies. Tottenham Hotspurs are sponsored by Mansion and Sunderland have a deal with Paddy Power. Bet 365 also advertise in several Stadiums.
Gaming companies are continually looking to sign deals with Premiership grounds as the numbers of punters betting and the demographic is accurate in stadiums. Huge capacity grounds filled with football fans provide a large segment of the market concentrated in one small area. This is the perfect environment for betting companies to advertise or take bets.
The new deal with SBO.com would replace the XL shirt sponsor due to the airliner going bust earlier this year. The times newspaper has reported speculation of 18 month contact worth $2.96 million being agreed by both parties.
The current financial crisis is being felt by West Ham more than most, with the possible fining of $77 million by Sheffield United after they claimed they Carlos Tevez was not eligible to play for the Hammers when they stayed up in the Premier leagues 06/06 relegation battle.
