WhichBingo UK announces the 2008 'Online Bingo Oscars' Awards

Online Bingo Awards for ‘Site of the Year’ and ‘New Site of the Year’ have been announced by WhichBingo today.
The awards are open to all UK online bingos across the spectrum so ‘Johnny come lately’ will still be able to compete against the ‘top dogs’. The voting took place during December, with bingo players able to vote for anyone they felt were deserving out of the 240+ UK sites.
Phil Fraser WhichBingo owner said: "2008 has been a remarkable year for online bingo. Our annual awards give players their opportunity to tell bingo sites who they think are delivering the best in entertainment, value and prizes." adding: "Congratulations go not only to our winners but to all the sites that came in the top 10 of each award."
The awards are said to be the online bingo industries longest running and most prestigious awards. WhichBingo reported that a record number of voters turned out for the sixth year of the awards with it being the third year of the UK only awards.
The winners of the awards were Bingo Playground taking ‘UK New Online Bingo Site of the Year 2008’, JackpotJoy taking the ‘UK Online Bingo Site of the Year 2008’ and the top title of ‘International Online Bingo Site of the Year’ going to Bingo Billy.
