William Hill Boss Praises Playtech move

William Hill Online will represent a giant in the gaming industry, providing both software and operational games to clients and players. Playtech have signed a initial 5 year deal with William Hill, to provide the brand with all of its online gaming software as well as the acquisition of affiliates such as Uniplay International and Six Digit Trading.
Topping claimed the move was transformational for both parties. Speaking to the press yesterday morning, he said:
“In common with the rest of the betting industry, retail has been struggling and online gaming will be a strong driver of growth in the future. Our online gaming offering previously wasn’t good enough.
"We provide a recognised and trusted brand in sports betting and Playtech has a very strong brand in online poker and casino; this is why the two firms complement each other so well.
"In addition, William Hill’s client base is very UK-focused, while Playtech generates 92% of its revenues from non-UK customers.”
William Hill Online should ensure that the recent growth in revenues made by the company continues throughout the current uncertain economic climate. William Hill saw a 9% increase in profits from the previous quarter.
