World Poker Tour Announces New Events to European Circuit

European poker fans will be happy to hear that two more events have been added to the World Poker Tour Poker Circuit for 2009.

As well as Venice and Marrakech, the World Poker Tour has announced that Barcelona and Northern Cyprus will be added.

The European leg of the tour will kicks off at the Casino Di Venezia for WPT Venice, and then moves onto Barcelona.

The WPT Spanish Championship will see players battle it out in the €5,000+300 buy-in tournament, which starts on the 24th June and finishes on the 30th June.

The tour will then move onto Northern Cyprus, for the Merit Cyprus Classic, which will be held in the Merit Hotel for 6 days starting 6th September. With a $10,000 + $300 buy-in players will have a huge jackpot to play for.

This year the tour moves into uncharted waters as WPT followers and participants will see the first major tournament event held in Africa, WPT Marrakech.

This weekend will see the start of the WPT Championship in Las Vegas. The $25,000 buy in event promises to be extremely exciting, with some of the biggest names in poker turning out to compete for this massive pot.
