World Poker Tour announces new Live Updates Hostess

The World Poker Tour, in its seventh year of existence, has announced a new face, Amanda Leatherman, will be added to its Live Updates team.
When the tour kicks off 11 July, Leatherman will bring viewers up-to-date reports straight from the poker table. As hostess of WPT Season VII Live Updates, she will conduct player interviews, blogs, video reports and behind-the-scenes insight into the poker world.
“Amanda is a great addition to the WPT Live Updates team,” said Joseph Grimm, WPT executive producer. “She is extremely knowledgeable about the game, the players and the world of high stakes tournament poker. We are excited and very lucky to have her on board.”
Leatherman is not new to poker; in fact she has experience on the felt as well. Her knowledge about the game of poker is extraordinary and actually knows many of the pros and regular players personally, which should make interviews much easier to get and do.
“I’m a poker player and have been for quite a while now, so I am very comfortable talking about hands and strategies,” Leatherman said. “Plus I know a lot of the regulars on tour and it’ll be a lot of fun to talk with them on the webcam.”
Leatherman has a lot of experience in reporting poker, especially in high stakes tournaments. She has covered three seasons of WPT, 2006 and 2008 NBC Heads Up, 2008 EPT Grand Finals, 2007 and 2008 Aussie Millions and three seasons of the World Series of Poker.
