iGaming Affiliate Awards Raise 130K for Haiti

The iGaming Affiliate awards this year wasn’t just an evening to honour the success stories in the industry, it also gave industry members the opportunity to present their charitable sides providing massive donations to aid the Haiti earthquake relief effort.

The attendees of the awards ceremony managed to raise a rather impressive £65,000 which was matched by the Calvin Ayre foundation to £130,000 with all proceeds going to Oxfam.

The money has already been earmarked to provide the Haitian population with water, sanitation, health and shelter equipment. Oxfam will also use the money to clean their camps and improve living conditions by removing rubble, clearing market spaces and helping to dig latrines.

Calvin Ayre, founder of Bodog, has challenged the gaming industry to raise $1m for the Haiti relief effort and the £65,000 from the awards has helped them on their way to achieving that target.

If you’d like to try a different way to donate to the Haiti relief effort why not play at big heart bingo? Here you can win real money but give to charity at the same time!
